STREET ART AS A PROJECTION OF SOCIO-CULTURAL PROCESSES IN THE CITIES OF IVANO-FRANKIVSK REGION

The paper explores the phenomenon of street art, its stylistic features and ideological meanings in correlation to the architectural field of the urban environment on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk region cities. Modern forms of street art such as tags, stencil art, sticker art, pixel art, subcultural and post-graffiti are taken into account. Their techniques, stylistics, semantic subtexts and communication qualities are analyzed. The controversy of the intervention of artistic methods in urban space is considered. Public views on the phenomenon of street art are highlighted. The urban environment is interpreted as a projection of socio-cultural processes of modern society, which effectively responds to the transformation of public consciousness. The study clarifies and verifies the terminology of basic concepts of street art.
