Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of soil mycobiota of the Ile Alatau. Currently, 37 species of the Penicillium genus have been found on the Ile Alatau ridge. The maximum number of species (24) is isolated from soils in the Big Almaty Gorge. Most of the species (21) are found only in one of the studied gorges, while P. glabrum was recorded in all the studied gorges. The largest number of species of the genus Penicillium is characteristic of the rhizosphere of spruce (18 species, 23 %), apple tree (12 species, 15 %), hawthorn and aspen (9 species, 11 %). The distribution curved line of the number of Penicillium species by absolute heights shows two peaks: for the belt of coniferous forests and meadows, and steppes. The maximum number of species was recorded in the soil mycobiota of Ile Alatau in August (27 species).
