Abstract

The article considers the importance of the functioning of genres of journalism, which are used by literary criticism. Mass media is the driving force that modernizes literary criticism, helps it to adapt to the conditions of the modern media world and to communicate with the mass audience in its own language. At the same time, literary criticism enriches journalism in general and the genres of journalism in particular, introducing new ideas and methods. The result of this interaction is the transformation, intercorrelation of existing genres and the emergence of new ones, change of language, form, format of materials, issues and priorities. Analysis of all these processes will allow us to explore the transformation of literary criticism in the Ukrainian media space in recent years, to identify a number of trends.
