Abstract

This article is devoted to the issue of fostering a sense of the metro-rhythm at the stages of primary and sports specialization when working with athletes-dancers of the category "adults".

Being one of the components of musicality in general, which in aesthetic sports, in dance sports, occupies one of the most important places, since it is one of the main criteria for judging at competitions, metro-rhythmic education is a complex and painstaking process at any age, especially at the initial stage of training.

As a result of the theoretical study, it was revealed that the process of rhythmic education in adults is based on the main components of the development of the sense of the metro-rhythm inherent in musical pedagogy. At the same time, the peculiarities of the perception of adults, as well as the specificity of the chosen kind of sport, pose challenges for the coaches in choosing the forms and methods of developing the sense of the metro rhythm, and the lack of methodological literature in aesthetic sports on this issue dictates the need to create guidelines for athletes-dancers of the selected group.
